Malaika Arora tests positive for COVID-19 hours after beau Arjun Kapoor

And now, hours after his announcement, we learn that his girlfriend and Bollywood diva Malaika Arora also tested positive for COVID-19. The news was confirmed by his younger sister, Amrita Arora, who informed ETimes in an interview about Malaika’s report. Malaika herself confirmed the same in an interview with Times Of India, saying: “Yes, I have tested positive. I am asymptomatic and have self-quarantined at home. I will recover healthier and stronger.”
Speaking of Arjun Kapoor, he shared the news on Instagram and wrote: “It is my duty to inform all of you that I have tested positive for coronavirus. I feel good and am asymptomatic. I have isolated myself at home under the advice of doctors and authorities and will be in home quarantine. I thank you all in advance for your support and will keep you posted on my health in the coming days. These are extraordinary and unprecedented times and I have faith that all of humanity will overcome this virus. “
A few days ago, it was reported that all 7-8 members of Malaika’s dance reality show unit Best Dancer in India tested positive for the new virus, after which the session was suspended. It is not known whether the actress was infected on the sets or not.

Speaking to ETimes, Executive Director of IFTDC (Indian Film and Television Directors Association), Suresh Amin had said: “I don’t know the exact number, but yes, there have been cases of COVID-19 in Best Dancer in India. . Everybody has taken every possible precaution, but I suppose the pandemic is so serious that we have to deal with it no matter what. “
