Maharashtra’s ruling alliance wins BJP dominated Pune’s graduate constituency – pune news


Maha Vikas Aghadi’s candidate Arun Lad won the Pune Graduate Constituency Polls, snatching the seat from the BJP by defeating the saffron party candidate Sangram Deshmukh. Lad got 1.22 lakh votes to Deshmukh’s 73,321 votes.

The BJP State Unit Chairman Chandrakant Patil and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar have represented this district in the past, and Patil has represented it twice.

Former Janata Dal Secular MLA Sharad Patil and MNS candidate Rupali Patil Thombre were also vying for this seat, which is traditionally dominated by the BJP.

The constituency is made up of voters from the districts of Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Solapur.

Elections were held on Thursday for the Pune Division Graduate Constituency, Nagpur Division Graduate Constituency, Aurangabad Division Graduate Constituency, Amravati Division Teachers Constituency, of teachers from the Pune division and the Dhule-Nandurbar constituency of local bodies.

Even in the Pune Teachers constituency, the ruling alliance candidate is leading.
