Maharashtra sees record single-day spike in Covid-19 cases, the crosses 50,000

The number of fresh new coronavirus cases in Maharashtra saw a new record after 3,041 more patients were reported positive in the last 24 hours. This is the largest spike in the number of day only cases recorded in the state so far, taking the total in the account at 50,231, according to the department of health of the state of the data. “Initially, the state government is going to allow 25 takeoffs and 25 landings each day in the capital city. This number will increase gradually,” said Minister of Maharashtra Nawab Malik. “The state government will issue the information and guidelines in this regard soon”, he added.

Meanwhile, in today’s India witnessed the highest peak of the new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours with 6,767 new cases across the country. The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 1.31 lakh. Maharashtra remains the hardest hit state in the country, both in terms of cases and deaths. Tamil Nadu recorded the second highest cases today after 765 most patients who tested positive, pushing the state to count beyond 16,000.

The number of deaths in the country has also been uploaded to 3,867 today after 147 coronavirus patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.
