Gyms and fitness centers will not be able to perform group activities such as Zumba and yoga. Steam and sauna facilities will also not be allowed. Instructors and staff members must also undergo periodic medical check-ups.

Thackeray said there should be no complacency, which comes in light of the surge in cases the state continues to report. On Saturday, Maharashtra recorded 10,259 new cases, bringing the total count to 15,86,321.
