Maharashtra crosses 3 lakh of active cases; Mumbai death toll rises to 8,372


Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 21,656 new cases of coronavirus on Friday, and with that, the count is now up to 11,67,496. Additionally, 405 people succumbed to the infection, accounting for the death toll due to COVID-19 up to 31,791.

The number of active cases now stands at 3,00,887 according to the latest information shared by the state health department.

Mumbai reports 2,267 cases on Friday


Mumbai reported 2,267 new coronavirus cases on Friday and with that, the financial capital’s case count rose to 1,80,542. According to the latest information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mahim’s cumulative COVID-19 count is now 2,901.

Active cases rise to 158 in Dharavi


Dharavi reported 18 new cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total count to 2,993. Active cases have reached 158 in Dharavi so far, while a total of 2,562 patients were discharged after recovery. According to official data, 89 new cases from the G / North district were reported today. So far, 7439 patients have been cured / discharged from the G / North ward.
