Further easing the restrictions, the Maharashtra government announced on Wednesday the reopening of restaurants and the resumption of trains to and from the state from October 5. However, suburban train services in the capital Mumbai will remain suspended except for essential service providers.
In a statement, the state government extended the blockade across the state until October 31. The government also announced a series of relaxations in the opening of businesses in the framework of “Mission to begin again”.

The hotels, restaurants and bars will be able to operate with 50 percent of their capacity as of October 5. The state tourism department will issue separate POEs to take necessary precautions while operating these establishments. Here are the India 5.0 Unlocking Guidelines
In addition, all non-essential manufacturing and industrial units in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) could operate.
Trains originating and ending their journey within the state will begin with immediate effect.
Schools, universities, movie theaters, swimming pools, entertainment parks and any kind of large social gathering will be closed until October 31.
The Railways will increase the frequency of local trains on the MMR. Local trains in the Pune region will restart with the protocols and procedures adopted in the MMR.
