Now, Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray, her son Aaditya Thackeray and Supriya Sule are in trouble. Complaints filed with the Election Commission alleging discrepancies and omissions in the voting affidavits submitted by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, his son and Minister Aaditya Thackeray, and by NCP MP Supriya Sule have been referred to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) for their research, sources said. Heavyweights belonging to Maharashtra’s ruling parties could face scrutiny for allegedly giving false information or withholding all details of their assets and liabilities in their affidavits. Sources indicated that the complaints against Sule, Uddhav, who is an MLC, and two MLAs, Aaditya and Nathabhai H Patel from Gujarat, were sent for an investigation based on administrative scrutiny by the voting panel. Routine move, says Shiv Sena’s minister who framed the Thackeray affidavits. The relevant complaints cite material in support of the claim that details provided by lawmakers in their affidavits are not true, a possible reason why the voting panel deemed it appropriate to refer them to CBDT. The accusations concern discrepancies between the affidavits filed by Uddhav Thackeray and her son Aditya.
