Forget about everything else, as the universe’s own night show is currently running. The Lyrid Meteor Shower peaked last night and will stay in your sky for the week. The star show happens every April, starting on April 16 of this year. The meteor show will last until April 26, 2020. Although its peak was last night, and it won’t return for another year if it was missed, it still has a few days. And maybe, you can see it tonight.
The enchanting Lyrid meteor shower has been observed since 687 BC. C., and honors us every year. This year, it was at its peak a day before the new moon, which meant it was a gorgeously dark night sky to see the rains. Rain is especially clear to observers in the northern hemisphere, who can see up to 20 meteors per hour during their peak. While it is true that the best opportunity to see them was last night, it is also true that you might have other opportunities to see them as they still appear before and after their heyday. So don’t lose hope and look for beauty.

Observing the lunar meteor shower is usually a bit of luck and a lot of strategy. So for starters, you need to make sure you’re in a place that doesn’t have too many lights. A typically dark place should work best, and you should lie down and look up at the night sky.
The meteor shower comes from Comet Thatcher that orbits the sun every 415 years. The pieces of debris get very close to the ground during this time each year.
