Ongoing farmer protests on the Delhi borders against the Center’s farm laws have taken the country by storm and many have demonstrated in support of the farmers. While talks with the government continue, farmers are peacefully camping on the Singhu and Tikri borders not only with the ration that can last for months, but now also with an automatic chapati machine that is gaining on the internet!
A huge chapati making machine has been installed to ensure a faster and easier way to prepare flatbreads at the protest site. This automated roti machine is generally used in Gurudwaras, including the Golden Temple in Amritsar, to prepare langar, which feeds thousands of people a day.
The ongoing protests have several camps on the border and the protesters, ready with all the essentials they have brought with them, are preparing food on portable stoves. Meanwhile, the Khalsa Aid Foundation has come to the farmers’ rescue to prepare tea and snacks, including kheer and bottled water. Amarpreet Singh, the Director of the Foundation spoke to NDTV and revealed that in addition to the food arrangements, the Foundation has also installed 20 mobile toilets for women so that farmers do not have problems when camping day and night.

In the video you can see how the dumplings are introduced into the motorized machine that rolls and flattens them all in seconds. The machine cooks the rotis more with the help of the fire under the machine that is controlled by someone, and the rotis come out very hot! The machine can make up to 2,000 flatbreads in an hour according to the Delhi Gurudwara Committee. Isn’t that a great way to save time and energy, both?
