LJP sticks to pro-Narendra Modi and anti-JD (U) stance on second list despite BJP snub

The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) continued to provide a platform to candidates excluded by the BJP by including them on the party’s second list of 53 candidates released on Friday, though this time it has leaned heavily on its own cadre.

Unlike the first list, which included high-level BJP leaders such as Rajendra Singh, Rameshwar Chourasia and Ravindra Yadav, the new list has chosen to accommodate relatively lesser-known BJP leaders, but those with local influence and loyalty. Unyielding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the guy shown. by LJP chief Chirag Paswan.

Despite continued attacks by the BJP, with several high-level leaders openly calling the party a ‘vote katwa’ (vote divider), Chirag has stuck to his plan to show unwavering faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a Offensive against Prime Minister Nitish Kumar.

“Giving a vote to JD (U) is akin to rolling back Bihar. LJP is not just fighting in an election, it will win and implement its vision of ‘Bihar first, Bihari first,’ ”Chirag tweeted, with the party slogan ‘Wo lar rahe hain hum par raaj karne ke liye, hum lar rahe hain khud par naaz karne ke liye ‘(They are fighting to rule us, we are fighting to develop (Bihar) own pride), while congratulating the party’s candidates after the publication of the second list.

From Khagaria, the party has dispatched former MP Renu Kumari, who had transitioned from JD (U) to BJP before joining the LJP later this year. She was also a minister in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet. The sit-in BJP MLA Baby Kumari also received a ticket from LJP after her seat went to the VIP Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He also alleged that VIP was demanding money instead of a party ticket and wept at the media.

From Teghara, LJP sent former BJP MLA Lallan Kumar, who had won the seat in 2010 but had no chance to contest it this time as the seat was loaned to JD (U) in the shared seating agreement sealed by the NDA. JD (U) has sent the import of RJD Birendra Kumar from the seat in this election.

The Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Rajesh Verma, who had joined the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections, has been introduced by the LJP this time.

Kameshwar Singh Munna, who had joined the BJP in 2015, received the LJP ticket from Ekma’s seat in Saran, while another BJP leader, Vinod Tiwari, has already submitted his nomination from the Ziradei seat at the LJP symbol.

“I am with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Interior Minister Amit Shah and Chirag Paswan. I’m not talking about BJP or any party, ”Tiwari said after presenting his nomination. Pradeep Thakur, deployed by LJP from Darbhanga Gramin and Rajiv Kumar Thakur, deployed from Gaura Bauram, have also been BJP leaders.

However, the party has bet more on its paintings in the second list and has asked several others to prepare for the third phase, whose list will be published soon. Following his plan, LJP candidates have mostly run in seats where JD (U) is competing and the list of candidates is dominated by Brahmins, Bhumihars and Dalits as part of LJP’s attempt at social engineering.

In five seats, the LJP candidates will also fight the BJP, viz. Govindganj headquarters in East Champaran and Lalganj in Vaishali district. Both seats were occupied by seated LJP MLAs, but went to the BJP during the exchange of seats within the NDA after LJP decided to leave the coalition citing differences with Nitish Kumar.

The Govindganj seat is held by LJP state parliamentary board chairman Raju Tiwari, while from the Lalganj seat, LJP candidate Raj Kumar won in 2015, defeating JD-U’s Vijay Kumar.

In Raghopur, he has deployed Rakesh Raushan against Tejaswhi Prasad Yadav from RJD and Satish Kumar Singh from BJP. However, since Raushan and Singh are Rajputs, it could make things easier for Tejaswhi.

The female candidates have also benefited from 16 tickets for LJP on the two lists released by the party so far. LJP spokesman Vikas Mishra, who is also running from the Harlakhi seat, said that according to the party’s focus on youth, 30 candidates out of 95 announced so far are under 40 years old.

“The candidates’ ability to win and their profile are the only two factors that the party chief, Chirag Paswan, has considered when selecting the candidates. Other factors only come after media scrutiny. Most of the candidates feel that this is LJP’s opportunity and the end of the road for Nitish Kumar due to the great anti-incumbent wave against him, ”he added.

Two relatives of the LJP chief have also been included in the second list of candidates, including Chirag Paswan’s brother-in-law Mrityunjay Paswan, sent from Raja Pakar’s post, and cousin Krishna Raj from Rosera’s post. Krishna is the brother of Samastipur MP and LJP head of state, Prince Raj, and son of former MP Ramchandra Paswan.
