The Mumbai High Court on Wednesday granted actress Rhea Chakraborty bail in an alleged drug case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. While Rhea was granted a personal bond of 1 lakh rupees, the high court rejected the statement of her brother Showik Chakraborty. Rhea Chakraborty “is not part of a chain of drug traffickers” and “has not sent the drugs allegedly acquired by her to another person for monetary or other benefits,” the Superior Court said in its order.

A CBI source said that the investigation into Sushant’s death is still continuing and that all aspects are being “thoroughly” analyzed. “According to the demand of the investigation, a team or group of officers visit Mumbai at regular intervals in addition to the Mumbai branch agency officers present there,” added the source.
Hours after she was granted bail, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty was released from Byculla jail Wednesday night, having spent 28 days in custody since her arrest on September 8. In full media gaze with strict police security, she quickly got into a vehicle and was driven to her home in Santacruz in the western suburbs.
