Rhea Chakraborty was previously questioned by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as well. Rhea, in interviews with various television news channels, has said that she has never used drugs. However, she had claimed that the late actor used to use marijuana. Miranda is alleged to have told NCB investigators that she used to procure buds or cured marijuana for the late actor’s home.
A total of eight people have been arrested so far by the NCB, six of whom are directly related to this investigation, while two were arrested when the investigation was initiated under the criminal sections of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act ( NDPS). When the investigation in the case began, the agency had arrested two men, Abbas Lakhani and Karan Arora, for alleged drug trafficking and the authorities have affirmed that through them they reached Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar, who are allegedly linked to this drug case since they were in contact with Miranda.
