Live coverage of the Sushant Singh Rajput case: Six more people were arrested from Mumbai on Sunday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) investigating the angle of drugs in relation to the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, raising the total count of people detained so far at 16. an official said. The six defendants have been identified as Karamjeet Singh Anand, Dwayne Fernandes, Sanket Patel, Ankush Anreja, Sandeep Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari, he said, adding that they were detained after their names emerged during the investigation.
Arrested by the NCB Mumbai Zonal Unit team led by Sameer Wankhede from Mumbai and Goa, they will be presented to a magistrate in Mumbai on Monday via video conference. All were registered under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
