The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday recorded statements by actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in the drug investigation linked to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and an alleged link between Bollywood and drugs. She also arrested Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad. So far, the agency has arrested at least 18 people in these cases.
The NCB, which questioned Bollywood actors Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika, their former manager Karishma Prakash and fashion designer Simone Khambatta on Friday and Saturday in connection with the drug case, confiscated their mobile phones. Furthermore, the mobile phones of Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, former Sushant talent manager Jaya Saha, and former Deepika manager Karishma Prakash were also seized for an alleged ‘drug talk’.

Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were reportedly questioned jointly by the OCN on Saturday. Both actresses have denied using drugs but claimed to have seen Sushant Singh Rajput using illegal substances. NCB believes that both Sara and Shraddha are being evasive in their responses. However, both have admitted the digital evidence, namely the alleged ‘drug chat’.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has distanced himself from two former Dharma Productions employees who have been questioned by the OCN in the ongoing drug investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. In a statement, Karan also said that he has never used drugs himself and that he does not promote or encourage the use of illegal substances.

According to sources, Rhea Chakraborty, who has been in court custody since 9 September in a drug case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, named Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan during questioning with officials. Both Sara and Rakul have appeared before NCB officials in the ongoing drug investigation. Rakul Preet’s mobile phone was reportedly seized by the authorities under the Indian Evidence Act.
