The Shiv Sena called on Tuesday for another surgical attack to avenge the murder of five security personnel in a meeting with terrorists in the Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir two days ago. The Seine, however, said the strike should take place without anyone boasting about it.
“It is not a good sign that brave men were assassinated at once in the land of India,” an editorial in Sena spokesman ‘Saamana’ said Tuesday, adding that this happened when a strong and rather patriotic government was in power at the Center.

“Let there be a surgical blow without Tom taking it to avenge the martyrdom of the five Jawans. It is not a good sign that five of our jawans are killed at once, ”said Sena, who was part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Democratic Alliance (NDA) until last year.
The country has forgotten about the Kashmir war due to the war situation triggered by Covid-19, but Pakistan has not, Saamana’s editorial said.
A colonel, a commander and three other members of the security forces were killed Sunday in a meeting with terrorists in Handwara, in northern Kashmir. This was the greatest loss to the Army in recent years.
Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, Major Anuj Sood, Naik Rajesh Kumar, Lance Naik Dinesh Singh, and Deputy Police Inspector Jammu Kashmir Shakeel Qazi were martyred in the line of duty while rescuing civilians kidnapped by terrorists.

Two terrorists were also shot dead by security forces at the Handwara encounter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Interior Minister Amit Shah and other leaders paid tribute to the brave soldiers.
“Tributes to our brave soldiers and security personnel martyred in Handwara. Your courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. They served the nation with the utmost dedication and worked tirelessly to protect our citizens. Condolences to his family and friends, ”Prime Minister Modi said on Twitter.
Army Chief General MM Naravane said Monday that India is proud of five security personnel who gave their lives to save civilians from terrorists in Handwara. He also said that the army will provide a proportionate response to all acts of violation of the ceasefire and support for terrorism.
