Five people were injured in an attack by a leopard.

Five people, including a one-year-old girl, were injured in an attack by a leopard that entered a residential area in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday, authorities said.
The leopard was later reassured and captured by authorities after five hours of effort, they said.
The leopard ventured into Limbodi and its surrounding areas from a nearby forest and attacked five people: the young boy, a 30-year-old woman, a zoo and forest department employee, and a ranger, officials said.
“The leopard was trapped in a building under construction in the Limbodi area using a net and then calmed down with the help of a dart gun,” Dr. Uttam Yadav, head of the Kamla Nehru Zoo, told PTI.
The wild animal was captured after five hours of efforts, he said.
Previously, the leopard had dodged the forest staff several times and also tried to attack them and others.
The leopard was taken to the zoo and once it regains consciousness, a medical examination will be performed before it is released back into the wild, he said.
Khemraj Rathore, a Shankar Mohalla resident of Limbodi, said: “The leopard entered my house when the door was open and bit my wife. At the time, she was cooking and three children were studying inside.”
“After hearing their screams, I scared the leopard with a stick,” he said.
Some videos related to the incident went viral on social media. One video shows a man, bleeding from a leopard attack, frantically searching for his daughter, whom the animal tried to catch. The people present try to reassure him by telling him that his daughter was taken to a hospital and that she should also receive first aid.
Another video shows the leopard leaving the building under construction and attacking a member of the rescue team, causing the latter to fall to the ground, after which people raise an alarm and the animal runs towards the concrete structure.
