MUMBAI: The Mumbai High Court on Thursday postponed the request of Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, who had questioned his “illegal arrest.”
The Bombay High Court asked Goswami to involve an original informant in his petition.
Arnab Goswami was arrested Wednesday in a case of complicity in the suicide of an interior designer in 2018.
Earlier today, Goswami had asked the high court to challenge his “illegal arrest” and request the annulment of the FIR filed against him by the Alibaug police in Maharashtra.
Goswami was arrested at his residence in Lower Parel in Mumbai for allegedly instigating the suicide of interior designer Anvay Naik, and was taken to the Alibaug Police Station in neighboring Raigad district.
He was later brought before a magistrate court in Alibaug, which left him in judicial custody until 18 November.
Goswami is currently in a local school that has been designated as a Covid-19 center for Alibaug Prison.
