Last date to file AY 2020-21 income tax return: more than 25 lakh ITR filed by 9pm today

Income tax return (ITR) filing AY 2020-2021: More than 25 lakhs ITR submitted as of 9pm today. Of these, more than 2.2 lakh RTI presented between 8 and 9 pm. Up to 17,97,625 ITRs were filed until 6 pm today (January 10, 2021) and 2,39,013 returns were filed between 5 and 6 pm.

Until 3pm today, 11,22,209 ITR and 1,98,347 #ITR were submitted in the last hour. The last ITR filing date for AY 2020-21 is today.

As of January 7, more than 5.27 crore of income tax returns (ITR) were filed for the 2019-20 fiscal year.

The Central Government had extended the ITR filing deadline for individuals until January 10 and for companies until February 15.

The income tax return in ITR-1 Sahaj is filed by people whose total income does not exceed Rs 50 lakh. The ITR-4 Sugam form is for individuals, Hindu Undivided Families (HUF) and companies (other than limited liability companies) with a total income of up to Rs 50 lakh and with presumptive business and profession income.
