In reaction to this development, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar, according to India Today, said that there was nothing left to prove that Lalu was a “habitual criminal”.
Elections for the position of spokesperson
Elections for the post of president of the Bihar Assembly are expected to take place on Wednesday 25 November, with two candidates vying for the post.
The NDA named Vijay Kumar Sinha of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) as its candidate and the Grand Alliance announced RJD MLA Awadh Bihari Chaudhary as its candidate.
Vijay Kumar Sinha reportedly told ANI: “We will work according to the instructions of our party and the NDA. We will present the nomination for the position of Spokesperson based on the decision of our alliance. The opposition and the government will work together for the development of Bihar ”
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, according to PTI, said: “We have taken the first step. Our candidate filed nomination papers long before the NDA decide their nominee. I am hopeful that our nominee wins. “
Yadav mentioned that Awadh Bihari Chaudhary is a fifth-term MLA member and a member of the House since the 1980s. Yadav also stated that Chaudhary has a strong command of the language.
