Lalu Prasad stays in bungalow, occupant in guest house; BJP questions ‘irony’ – ranchi

The Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has questioned the continuation of Rashtriya boss Janata Dal (RJD) and the forage scam accused Lalu Prasad in the bungalow of the director of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) while the new director was staying at the state boarding house. after taking over.

“It is ironic that the warden is a paying guest and the prisoner is having a good time in his bungalow,” said BJP spokesman Pratul Shahdeo. He also mentioned that the state boarding house charges Rs 800 per day and questioned why the government would spend public money to cover the cost of housing for a defendant.

“It’s a strange situation,” he said, adding that the Hemant Soren government was giving special treatment to those accused of forage scam.

BJP State Chairman Deepak Prakash questioned why a defendant serving prison terms should be able to stay in Kelly’s bungalow (as the RIMS director’s bungalow is known).

He said Lalu was moved from the pay room in August when there was an increase in coronavirus cases and RIMS has a covid room. “Now the virus infection is decreasing and the prisoner should be transferred from the director’s bungalow to the jail,” Prakash said.
