Heavy night rains flooded parts of Hyderabad. Heavy rains pushed Hyderabad’s Balanagar Lake out of bounds last night, causing massive flash floods in nearby areas.
The heavy rains come days after a deadly downpour killed at least 50 people and caused billions of rupees worth of damage in Telangana.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, along with Telangana government Minister of Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao (KTR), inspected the Appa pond in Gaganpahad on Saturday.
The heavy rains had caused the Appa Pond to overflow, causing large-scale flooding in the Gaganpahad area.
KTR ordered officials to carry out pond repair work immediately in coordination with the irrigation department. Local revenue officials were also ordered to eliminate any encroachment on the pond.

Heavy flooding was witnessed in the Chandrayangutta area of Hyderabad on Saturday. Previously, eight members of a family had been washed away by flooding in the area, caused by heavy rains in recent days.
Abdul Wahab, the Chandrayangutta Corporation sent a message to the people of the area, urging them to stay safe and move to the first floor of their own buildings or others in the neighborhood.
Heavy rains hit various parts of Hyderabad on Saturday night. The downpour was seen in the colonies of Nampally, Abids, Kothi, Basheerbagh, Khairatabad, Goshamahal and Vijayanagar. The rains caused flooding in parts of the state capital, including the Falaknuma bridge.
Rescue operations were carried out to bring relief to the people, in one such operation Abdullapurmet police pulled out a car stuck due to overflowing water with the help of a JCB machine in Rachakonda.
