NEW DELHI: India on Thursday criticized China for its comment on Ladakh Y Arunachal pradesh, saying that the territories are an integral part of India and that Beijing has no locus standi.
“The union territories of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir have been, are and will continue to be an integral part of India. China has no locus standi to comment on the internal matter of India,” the MEA spokesman said. Anurag Srivastava.
Srivastava was responding to Beijing’s comments dismissing the establishment of Ladakh as a Union territory by New Delhi last year. The comment came a day after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 44 key bridges in areas bordering Ladakh.
The MEA spokesman also said that the government has conveyed to China at the “highest level” that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India.

China had said earlier this week that it does not recognize the Ladakh TU, which is established “illegally” by India, as well as the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
In its response to China, the MEA also said that it hopes that other countries will not comment on their internal affairs, as they “expect” the same from others.
