NEW DELHI: Minister of Foreign Affairs S Jaishankar at an event on Saturday he said border areas “deeply disturbed” along the LACQUER with China it is obviously affecting the bilateral relations between India and China.
“There must be peace and quiet along the Royal Line of Control in the border areas … If they are deeply disturbed, obviously there will be an impact on the relationship and that is what we are seeing,” S Jaishankar said.
The two countries have been at odds since April-May and the Chinese have refused to vacate areas in the Finger area and other sticking points in the eastern Ladakh area.
The situation became more precarious after the clash in Galwan, where 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives and 43 soldiers from the Chinese side were killed, according to reports.
The two countries have continued diplomatic and military talks despite great success, with India calling for a total disengagement in LAC.
