Khushbu is likely to join the saffron party in the presence of the party’s senior leader and national chairman JP Nadda.
Khushbu, in his resignation letter, thanked Sonia for the opportunity she was given to serve the nation as the party’s national spokesperson.
“I, after a long process of reflection over a period of time, have decided to end my association with the party,” he said in the letter and tendered his resignation as a senior member of Congress.
TNCC leaders said she had been removed from party office.
Khushbu took a political step in May 2010 by joining the DMK. She left the party after a growing disagreement with MK Stalin. After being apolitical for almost four months, she joined the Indian National Congress on November 26, 2014. “This is the most delightful moment of my life. I feel like I’m at home,” Khushbu said after joining the Congress and She added that she was “proud to join Congress as a secular party.”
