HYDERABAD: TRS Acting Chairman and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao said on Wednesday that the TRS government places paramount importance on people’s safety, not their religion.
Interacting with business people, real estate and industrial agents during the “Hushaar Hyderabad with KTR” program in the city here, he said: “We want jobs, not emotions. We have asked the BJP leaders to explain to the people what they have done for Hyderabad. But they are talking about Babar, Bin Laden and others ”.
Continuing its scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government, KTR said the country’s economy had been affected even before the Covid-19 pandemic. The economic slowdown had started long before the shutdown was announced. He noted, “Eight consecutive quarters of slowdown have led to a recession. It began with demonetization, which affected small, micro, and medium-sized enterprises and the growing economy. Today, you can see the results and the blockade has further affected the economy. “
The minister wondered and asked the audience how many of them have benefited from Rs. Stimulus package of 20 lakh crore announced by the NDA government.
Looking back on her childhood memories, she said: “At that time, Abids was the only destination for shopping. I remember there was only one shoe store in Abids. Now, shopping centers have reached all corners of the city, ”he said, pointing to the development achieved under the KCR regime.
Rama Rao recalled his first meeting with steel traders in 2014 in Kachiguda, where they sought an uninterrupted power supply and stable government. He said that now the TRS government is providing 24/7 uninterrupted power and a stable government with no curfew for the past six years.
Later in the evening, the acting president of TRS headed to a road show in the Uppal area. He criticized the national leaders of the BJP for campaigning in Hyderabad for the GHMC elections, saying: “We welcome the top leaders of the BJP to the state. It would have been much better if the same leaders had come to Hyderabad when the city faced heavy rains and floods. “
He suggested that since the top leaders of the BJP are visiting the city, they can also visit the Durgam Cheruvu bridge, the Annapurna canteens and Basti Dawakhanas as well. He said: “Instead of coming empty handed, I ask you to bring the Rs. Rs 1,350 crore of financial assistance, which CM KCR had requested in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi (for carrying out relief measures in the rain-affected colonies). “
Continuing its attack on the BJP, KTR claimed that some of its leaders are downgrading by a few votes and seats. “One crazy leader says he will tear down the memorials of NTR and PV Narasimha Rao and another crazy leader encourages triple driving and promises to pay challans.”
The Acting President of TRS underscored: “Hyderabad has been peaceful for the past six years. There has not been a single incidence of community tension. But today, the BJP leaders only want to divide the people in the name of religion. I urge everyone not to support those parties. “
He highlighted Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR Kits, Annapurna Canteens, Basti Dawakhanas, the installation of five lakh CCTV cameras in Hyderabad as part of their campaign. He noted: “There was a big water crisis in Uppal five years ago. But today, all the houses receive clean water every other day. The TRS government has solved the water crisis very efficiently.” KTR urged the people of Uppal to vote for the candidates of the TRS party, so that Uppal’s development could continue alongside that of Hyderabad.
