Kriti Sanon has landed a major role alongside Prabhas in the upcoming film, Adipurush. Bareilly actor Ki Barfi has now been confirmed for the role of Sita in the big publicity film.
While Prabhas plays the protagonist Ram, Saif Ali Khan has been cast in the role of the antagonist Lankesh. There was speculation that names like Anushka Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kiara Advani, and Keerthy Suresh were being considered for the role of Sita before Kriti was finalized for the role.
A Mumbai Mirror report quotes a source as saying: “She (Kriti) will play the character with grace and dignity. Playing Sita is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her, and she jumped on the spot. He will juggle multiple movies in the first quarter of 2021. “
Adipurush is reportedly set to skyrocket from January 2021 on a long schedule. Speaking of shooting the movie in 3D, the source said: “Most of the time it will be shot in the studio against a chroma screen. Om and Bhushan have been speaking with internationally renowned visual effects technicians, who have worked on films such as Avatar and Star Wars, to facilitate the filming process and assemble the film at a certain scale. ”
Adipurush will hit theaters across the country on August 11, 2022. Backed by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series, the multilingual period saga is a screen adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana. It is touted as a movie celebrating “the victory of good over evil.” It is Om Raut’s follow-up project to his hit movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which was released in January this year. For filming in Hindi and Telugu, Adipurush will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other foreign languages.

Kriti was last seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama Panipat, in which she played the female lead Parvati Bai. She currently has multiple projects on her kitty, including Mimi, in which she plays a surrogate mother. She even gained 15 kilos to play a pregnant woman on screen. Filming will also begin on Bachchan Pandey, starring Akshay Kumar, in January.
