Koeman dismisses Barcelona’s hopes in the Champions League after PSG’s defeat

Ronald Koeman admitted that Barcelona have little chance of reaching the Champions League quarter-finals after losing 4-1 to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their last 16 games.

Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick and Moise Kean also hit a resounding victory for the visitors that puts them in full control of the tie.

Koeman spoke about the match after the match and said that his team had been second best all night at the Camp Nou.

“There is no choice but to accept that they were far superior to us in the second half. They showed that they have a more complete team than we do. We accept it. But we have to improve things about our game.

“We knew that this kind of thing could happen because we played against a great team. Physically and in experience, in fact, in several things, they are far ahead of us.

“I could tell you lies, but the fact is that with 4-1 less than the home game, there is very little chance of passing. This game shows us how much we have to improve, especially at the Champions League level ”.
