KL Rahul has been named to the India test team for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar four-round test series against Australia later in the year. Rahul is joined by his test partner, Kuldeep Yadav, while closer Mohammed Siraj receives a call on an 18-member test team.

The Senior Selection Committee headed by Sunil Joshi has named 28 players who will perform in all three formats in Australia, a list that does not include the currently injured Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma.
