KL Rahul, who starred with the bat at half a century at the Twenty20 International (T20I) series opening in Canberra on Friday, took to social media Saturday to introduce fans to the back bankers of the Indian cricket team. KL Rahul shared a couple of photos of himself with Hardik Pandya and Mayank Agarwal. In the first picture, Indian cricketers can be seen enjoying a train ride, while in the second picture, KL Rahul and Hardik clicked their devices. “Bankers from behind,” KL Rahul titled the images.

India won the first T20I by 11 races thanks to the exceptional bowling performances of rookie T Natarajan and concussion substitute Yuzvendra Chahal. Both players cleared three wickets each.

Aside from KL Rahul’s half century, Ravindra Jadeja played an energetic shot of 44, not just 23 balls. Their entries consisted of five limits and a maximum.

Jadeja was hit in the helmet by a Mitchell Starc gorilla in the final of the India innings.

Jadeja, who complained of dizziness during the mid-inning break, was replaced by Chahal for the Australia chase and the man of the match award winner for taking three wickets in 25 runs of his four-plus span.

Promoted

Later in the day, Jadeja was dropped from the T20I series and the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) added fast pitcher Shardul Thakur to the Indian team.

The second T20I of the ongoing series will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.
