IPL 2020 LIVE Score, KXIP vs CSK Today's match in Dubai: KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal start energetically

IPL 2020 Kings XI Punjab vs Chennai Super Kings Live Score & Latest Updates – IPL 2020 Live Score, KXIP 46-0, 6 overs – The power game is done and KL Rahul and Mayank have played excellently. Mayank welcomed Shardul Thakur into attack with a front foot jerk to mark the limit, after which the batters added 4 singles. Both hitters have been in good shape and you expect them to hit a lot.

Preview: two teams fighting in different ways. One that fails to close tight matches. Another that has a hard time competing. No. 7 and No. 8. Both with 1 victory of 4 games each. Kings XI Punjab will face Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on Sunday. The winner will feel a little more relaxed. The loser will feel one step closer to the end.

CSK began their campaign with a victory over the Mumbai Indians, sending signals that they will be a tough team to beat once again. However, things started to go downhill quickly. A loss to the Rajasthan Royals in Sharjah was followed by further losses to the Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Having lost three in a row for the first time in many years, CSK find themselves in a hole.

Kings XI Punjab started with a narrow loss to Delhi Capitals in a Super Over before beating RCB by a whopping 97-run margin. Yet another close loss to Rajasthan and a major loss to Mumbai mean they are seventh in the table. It’s familiar territory for a team that has often promised a lot but failed to deliver.

CSK

Where does one start? Their spinners are fighting. His hitters are struggling, with his intention under a scanner. The higher order leaves a lot to do for a middle order that is already struggling. There are question marks over the multiplayer locations, no ready-to-use replacements on the bench.

CSK is coming off a loss to SRH on Friday and has only one day to change course. They had a six-day break between their previous two matches, which helped them come up with a better combination, but the result is yet to come. They’ve talked a lot about the higher order momentum, but they were only 36 out of 3 on the Power Play looking for 165 against SRH.

They managed to reduce the margin of defeat to 7 runs, but it was too little, too late. Their catch (they dropped two sacks) was also criticized by the captain.

The CSK bowlers did a pretty decent job, despite squandering the lead of young Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma. However, they need to step up with the bat, because that’s the area where they are losing momentum.

Despite questions about their places, expect Shane Watson and Kedar Jadhav to keep their places. CSK is unlikely to trade their XI, but a batting promotion for Sam Curran could do with it.

KXIP

The men of KL Rahul may already be thinking of missed opportunities. They failed to score 1 of 3 balls against Delhi. They lost to RR, allowing Rahul Tewatia to crush 30 runs in one over. They threw K Gowtham to Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya in the last over of the previous game, conceding 25 runs to give MI all the momentum.

Mayank Agarwal has the orange cap, and KL Rahul has promised to snatch it from him soon. Nicholas Pooran is also in between the races, but other than that there has been little of the rest. Glenn Maxwell’s poor record in IPL has continued, adding to the KXIP problems.

KXIP has also fought in death bowling. Rahul quickly completed Sheldon Cottrell’s overs against MI, having seen him concede 5 sixes to Tewatia the other day. However, it did mean an off-piste pitch for Pollard and Pandya in the last over. MI broke 104 runs of the last six. How do you solve this? How do they bring more balance? That will be the big question.

KXIP could likely bring M Ashwin back against CSK. The leg clamp did little wrong, but dropped to accommodate a spin on Gowtham, perhaps also due to his hitting skills. Other than that, it’s unlikely that their patience with Maxwell is already running out. Jimmy Neesham was expensive and they might be tempted to bring Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
