Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated three projects on Saturday, including Kisan Suryodaya Yojana for Gujarat farmers. It will also inaugurate the Pediatric Heart Hospital attached to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center in Ahmedabad, a mobile app for telecardiology at the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital and a cable car at Mount Girnar near Junagadh in the Junagadh district.
Under the agricultural program, farmers will have access to electricity from 5 am to 9 pm for irrigation purposes. The project was recently announced by Prime Minister Vijay Rupani. The state government has allocated a budget of Rs 3.5 billion to install transmission infrastructure under this scheme by 2023.
Dahod, Patan, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Kheda, Tapi, Valsad, Anand and Gir-Somnath districts have been included in the plan for 2020-21. The rest will be included in a phased manner for 2022-23.
The UN Mehta Institute inaugurated by Modi will become the largest cardiology hospital in India. It will also become the nation’s largest super specialty cardiac teaching institute and one of the world’s largest super specialty cardiac hospitals, the Prime Minister’s office said on Friday.
Girnar’s cable car, the third project, will initially have 25-30 cabins with a capacity of 8 people per cabin. It will cover a distance of 2.3 kms in just 7.5 minutes. The cable car will also offer a panoramic view of Girnar Mountain.
“Boosting Gujarat’s Tourism Potential! A cable car in Girnar would also be among the projects launched tomorrow. Thanks to the cable car, tourists can have a spectacular view of the surroundings of Girnar Mountain, ”Modi had tweeted on Friday.
Here are the highlights of PM Modi’s direction
>> In Kisan Suryodaya Yojana, Prime Minister Modi called farmers getting triphasic power from 5am to 9am instead of at night as “a new dawn”. “I would like to congratulate the Gujarat government because this work is being done by preparing a completely new transmission capacity, without affecting the other systems,” he said.
>> “Under this scheme, the laying of around three thousand five hundred kilometers of circuit of new transmission lines will be carried out in the next 2-3 years,” said the Prime Minister, adding that the scheme will also be implemented in more than 1,000 towns in the next few days. More of these towns are in tribal-dominated areas, he said.
>> Modi praised the work of the state government in the health sector. “In the past two decades, Gujarat has done unprecedented work in the field of health. Be it a network of modern hospitals or medical schools, a lot of work has been done to connect each village with better facilities, ”he said.
>> After inaugurating the cable car in Girnar, the prime minister more and more devotees and tourists will visit the destination ”. The cable car that started today is the fourth cable car in Gujarat. Seeing Ambaji in Banaskantha, three more ropes in Pavagadh, Satpura, they are already working, ”he added.
