CHENNAI: Actor Khushbu sundar, who resigned from Congress and joined the Bjp on Monday, he said that he has only “changed parties” but has never changed and has repudiated his ideology. Khushbu He said that he had seriously criticized and condemned the Prime Minister Narendra modi and the BJP before. “But in the BJP, there are no accusations of corruption,” he said.
“I am more of an activist than a politician. I had to criticize the BJP because it was the spokesperson for an opposition party, ”he said.
“It is my immense pleasure to step forward and become part of the BJP today. After a while, I came to understand that the nation must move forward. For that, we need someone like Narendra Modi to take the country in the right direction.” he said after joining the party.
Khushbu received the BJP membership card from the party’s general secretary, CT Ravi, at the party’s headquarters in Delhi. Chairman of the BJP Tamil Nadu unit L Murugan welcomed him to the party.
“I am completely at the service of the BJP and I promise to do everything possible to fulfill the responsibility entrusted to me and ensure the victory of the party in the next elections,” he said.
“I am here as the millions of people in this country, who have high hopes for the BJP under the esteemed leadership of the PM and I will work like any other worker to the best of my ability,” he said.
The Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Congressional Committee, KS Alagiri, said Khushbu’s resignation would not harm Congress.
“At the Congress party, she was just like a drop of water on the lotus. His resignation will not harm the party in any way, ”he said. “She was seen as an actress and not as a leader. Therefore, there will be no impact on the game, “he added.
Alagiri said that although the party had honored Khushbu by giving her the position of national spokesperson, she did not like it.
