Kerala Local Body Election Results 2020 News Live: LDF vs UDF vs NDA in Kerala. Counting in progress (ANI)
Kerala Local Body Election Results Live Updates: The CPI-M led LDF has maintained its leadership against the Congress led UDF and the BJP led NDA. The LDF is a leader in gram, block and district panchayat. The UDF is ahead in the municipality and on a par with the LDF in the corporation. The BJP-led NDA, on the other hand, is in third position. It has won 1068 rooms in gram panchayat, 37 rooms in block panchayat, 1 room in district panchayat, 320 rooms in municipality and 59 rooms in corporation. Gram panchayat has 15,962 districts, the panchayat block has 2080, the panchayat district has 331, the municipality has 3078, and the corporation has 414 districts.
BJP IT Cell Director Amit Malviya says that BJP has made impressive strides in Kerala. “He won the Palakkad municipality for the second time and also the Pandalam municipality, the birthplace of Swamy Ayyappa. Keeps Madhur Panchayat in Kasargod for the fortieth year in a row! He also does well in other high stakes contests … “
Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac says the LDF is making slow progress towards a “resounding victory” in Kerala. Addressing the BJP and Congress, Thomas Isaac said that the people of his state rejected the smear campaign of the opposition parties and also the machinations of the central agencies. Congress is in second place while the NDA struggles to make an impact. The news is not very encouraging for the BJP in Kerala, except for Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, where their candidates have defeated the congressional mayoral candidate and the LDF candidates.
The elections had been held in three phases: December 8, 10 and 14.
