Meanwhile, the Kerala Women’s Commission also learned suo motu on the issue.
Kalamassery police in Kerala’s Ernakulam district said on Friday they have identified the men who harassed an actress in a Kochi shopping mall. On Thursday, the actress had said she was harassed by men while shopping with her family at the Lulu Mall in Kochi.
Speaking to the media after reviewing footage from the mall, Kalamassery Police Station officials said the men had been identified and were young. “They touched her inappropriately,” said an official. Although the actress has yet to file a police report, authorities said her statement will be taken.
Meanwhile, by condemning the incident, the Kerala Women’s Commission took notice of the matter. In a statement, the commission’s chairman MC Josephine said officials will take the actor’s statement on Saturday.

It was Thursday night that the actress took to Instagram and wrote a note about the harassment. She wrote that one of the two men touched her while she was inside the hypermarket in the mall. Although she tried to confront the men, they ignored her and left. After this, the men harassed her again and tried to strike up a frivolous conversation.
On the poignant note, it also urges women to deal with these issues properly.
“Being a woman has been very exhausting, being on guard every minute when you leave your house. To look at my clothes when I bend over and turn. Taking care of my chest with my arms in the middle of the crowd… And on the days that I’m at home, I worry about my mother, my sister, my friends who have to do the same things. It is all due to these sick men. You take away our security. You take away our comfort and the joy of our femininity. I despise you, ”the actor wrote.
