Sony TV announced on Saturday that registration for Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 will begin on May 9. A video with presenter Amitabh Bachchan was posted on the channel’s social media pages. The video, curiously, has been filmed by Big B at home.
In inviting viewers to register for KBC 12, Bachchan says that while the world stands still, one cannot help but dream. Give examples of how schools, shopping malls, nights out, and walks with friends have taken a break. However, dreams can never be affected by blocking. And KBC 12 is here to give those dreams wings to fly.
A source shared with indianexpress.com, “As of now, we have only started registrations. Taking into account the current situation, for the first time, the entire audition process will be digital this year. Usually it takes us about three months before we go to the flat. Hopefully things will return to normal by then, and we can give our audience another successful season. ”
The audition process will be divided into four parts: registration, evaluation, online audition and personal interview. Every day, May 9-22 at 9 p.m., Amitabh Bachchan will ask a question on Sony TV. To register, one needs to answer the question correctly. Contestants can answer the question through texts or the SonyLIV application.
Participants who correctly answer the registration question will be selected through a computerized process and will be contacted by phone for the next round. Post this, the online audition will be done with the help of a general knowledge test and video presentation exclusively through the SonyLIV app. And finally, those selected will be invited to a personalized video call, after which only a few will have the opportunity to be on stage together with Amitabh Bachchan.
Writer and director Nitesh Tiwari, who led the Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 promotion, said in a statement: “Every year when we start deliberating on KBC, we go through various ideas that can trigger a shocking narrative. This time, however, the environment we find ourselves in sets the context for the film. KBC is not just a quiz game / quiz for people. It is more than that. It is an opportunity to make dreams come true. One does not stop dreaming given adversity. In fact, dreams only get more meaningful … and that was the trigger for this movie. However, filming this movie was challenging. First, I shot a scratch-off movie with myself and shared it with Mr. Bachchan, so he would have an idea about my vision. After which, Mr. Bachchan filmed the entire movie in his own home, alone. I hope that this campaign agrees with the audience and they participate with all their hearts ”.
