Bengaluru: Two days before the resumption of domestic flights, government of Karnataka has issued detailed guidelines for people who come from ‘high-prevalence states in the middle of the coronavirus-induced block of security.

The state government has established new rules for those coming from other states (including those arriving on domestic flights).

It has been said that passengers arriving from ‘high-prevalence states (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh) would be required to undergo a seven-day “institutional quarantine”, which will be followed by home quarantine.

The new rules also said that the home quarantine of 14 days would be necessary for passengers originating from other states. “No quarantine for passengers of business negative test report, obtained within the two days prior to the date of the trip, of the icmr-approved laboratory,” said the order, detailing the guidelines.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has decided to resume domestic flight services from May 25.

Karnataka is COVID-19 count surges to 1,958 with 216 new cases of the virus reported in the last 24 hours, said the Department of Health in a bulletin on Saturday.
