Actress Kareena Kapoor is feeling nostalgic because her movie Jab We Met turned 13 on Monday. He took to Instagram to share a photo with his film co-star Shahid Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali.
The photo shows Kareena, Shahid, and Imtiaz looking at a playback monitor after filming the film’s song, Nagada Baja. Kareena also shared a line from the movie about getting what you want. “Mujhe toh lagta hai life mein jo kuch insaan real mein chahta hai, actual mein, usse wohi milta hai ‘# 13YearsOfJabWeMet @imtiazaliofficial @shahidkapoor #ShreeAshtavinayakCineVision,” he wrote.
Kareena’s fans showered her and the movie with love. “I can see this movie as many times as I can! Also the reason behind that is that you are my favorite and the most important thing is that your performance is the next level, ”wrote a fan. “Oh my gosh Kareena you are such a beautiful person forever. I love you sweetheart,” wrote another.
Kareena played the happy, carefree Geet in the film who meets a heartbroken Aditya (played by Shahid) on a train ride. She takes him to her home in Punjab, takes his help to escape her home and reunite with the man she loves, but even Aditya falls in love with her in the process.
The film is considered among the best works of Imtiaz and Kareena. Her role as Geet was a hit with fans and she is among the most cited female characters in Hindi movies.

Kareena and Shahid had been dating for a few years, but split before starting work on the film. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Kareena had said that it was Shahid who recommended her name for the film. “In fact, it was Shahid who said that you should listen to the script for this movie. He was like, ‘It’s amazing, the girl part is amazing and you should do it.’ He actually got this whole project and we both ended up making this movie, ”he said.
