Actress Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram account on Saturday to share a photo of herself from her new Mumbai apartment, which is currently being redesigned. She called it the ‘house of her dreams’.

The image showed Kareena, in a black and white midi dress, with a lady as they both looked at the ceiling. While the rest of them have masks, Kareena doesn’t have one. Sharing the image on Instagram Stories, Kareena wrote “back with our favorite @design_by_darshini. Dream home ”followed by various heart emojis. The image also gave an idea of the house: it seemed almost complete. Behind Kareena, there is a glass door and on either side are bookcases. An elegant light hangs from the ceiling.

The family has been renovating their new apartment for much of the pandemic, as Kareena and Saif were interested in a larger apartment. Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror, Saif had said in July last year: “Our new house is being renovated, so I jump in to see how things are going and not because I feel locked in. I am enjoying this time with my family. My sister Soha and her husband Kunal (Kemmu) come here sometimes, as do my children Sara and Ibrahim. My other sister, Saba, also moved to Mumbai. Only the mother (Sharmila Tagore) is in a rented apartment in Delhi because the closure happened while she was fixing her house. So now, even she is supervising the renovation work there. She is a real cop and never complains. “

Kareena has been busy throughout her pregnancy, as well as her first pregnancy. She has filmed for commercials, recorded episodes of her chat show What Women Want, and even took an extended vacation in Dharamshala with Saif and her son, Taimur Ali Khan. In an interview, she mentioned how proud she was to be a working mom. Speaking to Bombay Times, she had said: “No, there has never been a plan that has to do this or that. It’s just that I’ve never been that kind of person who would sit at home and say, ‘Now I want to put my feet up. I am doing what I want to do. Working, whether during my pregnancy or after delivery, has it been a point to simply say that when did someone say that pregnant women cannot work? In fact, the more active you are, the healthier the baby is and the happier the mother is. Also after childbirth, once you feel fit enough, one should do what you feel like doing and try to balance it between giving the child time, as well as your work and yourself. I have always been very proud to be a working mother. “
