Karan Johar 2019 Party Video Authentic, Undisturbed, NCB Receives Forensic Report | People News


New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) received the forensic report of the video of the party at Karan Johar’s house in 2019.The viral video had raised questions about the alleged drug use by celebrities present at the party and two weeks ago, Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a complaint with the NCB to investigate the clip.

The forensic report has confirmed that the video is authentic, unedited and not tampered with. Now the OCN will decide the next course of action and senior officials are likely to meet with the agency’s head, Rakesh Asthana.

The report comes just a day after the NCB confirmed that it is not investigating the alleged ‘drug party’ video, adding that its focus is on the drug-related investigation surrounding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

The video was posted on July 28, 2019 by Karan Johar. He showed various Bollywood celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan at his home.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa had filed a complaint against Karan Johar and others for the video and alleged that “those who attended the party were using drugs.”

“That video of the party needs to be investigated,” he tweeted, along with a copy of his complaint.

After which, the NCB began its investigation into the authenticity of the viral video. NCB officials wanted to determine if the viral video is real or doctored.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Karan Johar issued a statement dismissing all the allegations against him. He stated that he does not consume narcotics or promote or encourage the use of such substances.

The statement read: “Certain news channels, print / electronic media, and social media platforms are misleadingly and misreporting that narcotics were used at a party that I, Karan Johar hosted on July 28, 2019, at my residence. I already clarified my position back in 2019 that the accusations were false. “

Karan Johar further added: “In view of the current malicious campaign, I am reiterating that the allegations are completely unfounded and false. No narcotic substance was used in the party.”
