On Wednesday, he received a call from the KTL service center asking if his vehicle was working fine after the service a few days ago.

“I went to the service center and they told me that the vehicle was returned to SO Bithoor, Kaushlendra Pratap Singh on December 22 after the service,” he said, wondering why the police had not informed him that they had recovered his stolen vehicle.

Singh, in his defense, claimed that he had found the car abandoned, after which it was impounded. However, he did not elaborate on the date the vehicle was found.

When asked how a police officer could use a seized vehicle if it was not allowed, he did not respond. According to the procedure, the Bithoor police should have informed the Barra police about the recovery of the car. However, the Barra police confirmed that they did not receive any hints from the Bithoor police.
