Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut will meet with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday in the context of the growing animosity between the actor and Shiv Sena. The actor is believed to inform the governor of the situation before he leaves Mumbai on September 14. The meeting is scheduled for 4.30 pm.
The Bollywood actress drew the ire of Shiv Sena after she compared Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir in one of her tweets about the investigative case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The actor allegedly received threats from Sena leaders, after which he was granted Y more security. On September 9, he arrived in Mumbai amid tight security measures. On the same day, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation carried out a demolition campaign at its Mumbai office, razing the parts that were built “illegally”.
However, the Maharashtra government distanced itself from the demolition campaign and said the government had nothing to do with BMC’s decision.

The fight between the actor and the party continued with Kangana taking a bull’s-eye at Shiv Sena “becoming a shadow of Congress.” The party also mocked the actor in its editorial about spokesperson Saamana, saying that various artists have achieved success in the industry because of talent and not religion.
Artists across the country are benefiting from the fruits of the foundation established by Dadasaheb Phalke, the editorial said.
“Those who come to Mumbai to try their hand at this industry first stay on the trail and then move to Juju, Pali Hill and Malabar Hill to build their bungalows.
“All of these people have always been grateful to the city and state that allowed them to pursue their dreams and make them big. They have never betrayed Mumbai, but they have also contributed to the growth of the city, ”Saamana said.
“Many artists have been awarded Bharat Ratna and also Nishan-e-Pakistan,” he noted.
