Maharashtra Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced on Sunday the scrapping of the Aarey subway car shed. While the project has now been moved to Kanjurmarg due to falling trees at Aarey Milk Colony, various groups and environmentalists had also opposed the earlier plan.

Sharing her views on the Maharashtra Prime Minister’s decision, actress Kangana Ranaut took to social media and shared her views. She tweeted: “First world problems of some stylish activists are not #Mumbaikars problems, last year I planted more than one young Lakh tree, not cutting trees is good, but stopping urbanization just to fit the agendas of the powerful and rich is not the solution but part of the problem #Aarey #Metro ”
