The allegation further stated that although the civic body in its notification had listed 14 illegal alteration works in progress at the facilities, there was only one photograph of a person attempting to prevent leaks from the incessant rains and no other evidence was presented and, therefore, the said notice was “illegal” and “unlawful,” the statement said.

On September 10, the BMC had informed the High Court that Ranaut had been carrying out “substantial alterations” to its Bandra property “contrary to the sanctioned plan” and its action to demolish these structures was justified and without any “malafidio”.

In its response, the civic body said that the actress had made “false, unfounded and unjustified accusations”, including those of “harassment” and “bad faith”, and that she should not be allowed to seek protection for that “illegal work” by approaching To the court.

He added that even in the allegation filed by Ranaut, the actress has not denied that she made illegal alterations and additions to the property.
