Kangana Ranaut Row: BJP questions Uddhav Thackeray, denounces Mumbai Police investigation into SSR case

The Chairman of the BJP in Maharashtra, Chandrakant Patil, took to Twitter and made a post in Marathi to question the CM about the statements and actions of his party in the Kangana Ranaut case. He also spoke about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and mentioned that the Mumbai police did not do a proper investigation into it. Patil’s tweet read: “The Chief Minister says the opposition is doing politics, but who started the Kangana Ranaut issue? If the Mumbai police had filed an FIR and investigated properly, there was no need for central agencies to do anything. So the time has come for you to put the mask aside ”(sic). He added that the central government has only given an example of good administration and not politics. When Thackeray was asked about his party’s position across the line, he said that he will have to remove his ‘Chief Minister’s mask’ to address the ‘politics’ that is happening in the case. “I will have to remove the mask of the Chief Minister to respond to politics. If I don’t speak, it doesn’t mean I don’t have answers. Regardless of the political storms that come, I will also face them. I will also fight the coronavirus, ”he said Monday.

Former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis also mocked Thackeray in the dispute between Shiv Sena and Kangana. He said that the CM of a state must understand that their fight is with the coronavirus, not with the opposition or with the Bollywood actor. “Today in Maharashtra, there are more than 10 lakh of COVID-19 patients, and our state accounts for 40% of the total deaths in the country.
