Anything can happen in Bollywood. Friends turn to enemies and vice versa with two shakes of a lamb’s tail!
The latest to prove that case is all that followed when Kangana Ranaut recently received a shred of empathy from members of the same ‘Bollywood mafia’ she had been campaigning against for months.
After Brihanmumbai Corporation of Mumbai (BMC) demolished parts of Kangana’s Bandra office after citing ‘illegal construction’, many Bollywood stars, including Sonam Kapoor, backed the actress.
Admonishing the demolition, Dia Mirza tweeted: “Condemn the demolition of the Kangana office. Condemns the harassment and abuse against Rhea. It is not about taking sides. It is about denouncing what is unfair. Remember that this can happen to you (sic) “.
Sonam Kapoor, who was brutally trolled as a result of Kangana’s anti-nepotism stance on Twitter, also surprisingly endorsed the actress. When retweeting Dia’s aforementioned tweet, Sonam had written: “An eye for an eye blinds the whole world.”
Avoiding mud pits
However, Sonam’s olive branch did not sit well with Kangana. You can recall, a few days ago, Sonam had shared a cryptic post allegedly attacking the Queen actress.
Sharing the George Bernard Shaw quote, she had written: “I learned a long time ago, never to fight a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it ”.
Kangana, who is open about her dislike for many in show business, was unimpressed with Sonam’s support. She responded with a tweet, which read:
“All of a sudden the mafia fools have started to seek justice for Rheaji through the tragedy of my house, my fight is for the people … don’t compare my struggles to those of a petty drug addict who lived off a vulnerable, broken, self-made superstar, stop this immediately (sic) “.
Why this sudden change?
When Karan Johar literally went after Kangana, she was mocked on so many platforms for commenting on the nepotism in B-town, no one in the fraternity defended Kangana. They laughed with him when the joke was on actress Queen.
But now, ever since the Union Minister of the Interior granted security to the Kangana Y + category, suddenly the whole world has been talking about how the actress is being supported by the BJP.
So when you have powerful people on your side, all the bullies will back off, right? And this is what also seems to be evident in the case of Kangana. Nobody in Bollywood accepts it now!
