Actor and politician Kamal Haasan, on Thursday, visited legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam at MGM hospital in Chennai after learning that he is critical. A few hours ago, there were reports that SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health condition has deteriorated and he is now on maximum life support. The hospital statement says doctors are monitoring him closely. After this, SPB’s friend and supporter Kamal Haasan visited him at the Chennai hospital.
According to sources, SP Charan informed Kamal Haasan about his father’s health and the latter immediately went to the hospital. A video of Kamal Haasan visiting the hospital is currently circulating on social media.
The latest statement from the hospital read: “Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam, who had been admitted to MGM Healthcare on August 5, is still on ECMO and other life support measures. His condition in the last 24 hours has further deteriorated, justifying maximum life support and is extremely critical. MGM Healthcare’s team of experts is closely monitoring his health. “

SP Balasubrahmanyam was admitted to MGM Healthcare hospital on August 5 after testing positive for the new coronavirus. His condition deteriorated on August 13, after which he was placed on a ventilator and ECMO (Extracororeal Membrane Oxygenation) support.
