He’s now reached a point where David Warner should retire when Jofra Archer enters bowling, as he took it out once again and won a new Xbox for himself too. Just before the IPL, Jofra was asked to get David Warner’s window to earn a new Xbox, which he did with ease.
To David Warner, Jofra Archer is what Zaheer Khan was to Graeme Smith and Glenn McGrath to Michael Atherton. Now it has reached a ridiculous point where even a KG kid can kick Jofra out of the Aussie southpaw and that would come true when Warner hits Jofra like his eyes were closed.
Just as David Warner was looking to get loose, Steven Smith, sensing the occasion, brought his talisman Jofra Archer to the attack on the 15th, much earlier than expected as Archer is primarily used as a bowler of death. But the Englishman left his employer happy when he fired Warner with the ease of a teacher at work. After being at sea against Jofra all year, Warner risked hitting him and Archer proved too difficult for the Australian as he cheated on him for the fifth time in six innings this year in all formats, sending his stumps walking. .
Jofra Archer’s hit rate of 9 and economy of 5.1 runs over against Warner is second only to David Willey at T20 (min. 3 wickets). The Warner window also meant that Jofra got himself a new Xbox, as the company had challenged him to fire David Warner if he wanted a free Xbox for himself, right before the 2020 IPL, which he did as if there were no challenge.
