Main results of NTA JEE 2020: Gurkirat Singh from Delhi has secured 100 percent on the Main Joint Entrance Exam (JEE), the result of which was released last week. The 18-year-old plans to pursue physics research, “Although there is no family pressure to take BTech, they suggest that engineering will open up better prospects for the future. But I love physics and I want to be a researcher. Now, I have to choose between IIT and IISc, ”he said. It has achieved the rank of All India (AIR 24).

Gurkirat has already entered a four-year bachelor’s program at IISc Bangalore through the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) scholarship program, but will appear on JEE Advanced on September 27 to keep his options open. “If I have to go into engineering, I’ll take electronics or physics-related currents,” Gurkirat said.

Meanwhile, it is now focusing on JEE Advanced. “JEE Main is simpler than Advanced, since the latter requires a deep understanding of the subject. For JEE Advanced, in addition to NCERT, and FIITJEE study materials, I am also reviewing subject books, Physics- HC Verma, IE Irodov, Chemistry- MS Chouhan, RC Mukherjee, Mathematics- SL Loney. I also take mock tests online daily and solve sample jobs, which helps me become familiar with paper patterns. “

For JEE Main, “My strategy was somewhat similar, but I focused on the NCERT syllabus and tutor materials beyond the mock tests,” he said.

The JEE Main was held from September 1-6, after it was postponed several times following strict COVID-19 guidelines. “I had no problem, as the setup in the test center was excellent. In my classroom, some candidates were warned to face action after the masks were removed in the exam room. I hope the same steps are taken for JEE Advanced, ”said Gurkirat.
