The first edition of the exam will be held from February 23 to 26, followed by rounds in March, April and May.
Publishing the JEE Main 2021 schedule, the Minister of Education said: “We have examined the suggestions received from students and various quarters and it has been decided that JEE-Mains will be held in four sessions in February, March, April and May. “. “The first session will be held from February 23 to 26 and the results will be announced within five days after the last exam date,” he said.
The move will ensure that students do not miss opportunities due to exam crash or due to the current Covid-19 situation, the minister added.
Nishank also said that students will have the option to answer 75 questions (25 each in Physics, Chemistry, and Math) out of 90 (30 each in Physics, Chemistry, and Math).

NTA will begin the registration process for the February cycle of JEE Main 2021 beginning on December 16. Interested candidates can submit their application forms for JEE Main Cycle 1 through the official JEE Main portal – jeemain.nta.nic.in – until January 16. Application fees can be paid online until January 17. The fees for the 4 sessions can be paid at the same time.
JEE Main Session 2 will be held from March 15-18, and the April session will be held from May 27-30. NTA will hold the final session from May 24-28.
Candidates should note that NTA does not edit / modify / alter any information entered by candidates after completing the application process under any circumstances. No subsequent information change request will be accepted. Therefore, candidates are advised to exercise extreme care in filling in the correct details on the application form.
JEE Main 2021 will be run in the following modes: Test 1 (BE / B. Tech.) In Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only, Test 2A (B.Arch): Mathematics (Part I) and Proficiency Test (Part -II) only in CBT mode and Drawing Test (Part III) in pencil and paper mode (offline), to be attempted on an A4 size drawing sheet, Paper 2B (B. Planning): Math ( Part I), Proficiency Test (Part II) and Planning Based Questions (Part III) in CBT mode only.
JEE Main 2021 will take place once a month, February through May. NTA will announce the results a few days after the exam so that students can request the following month’s test.
