JEE Advanced 2020 or IIT JEE exam dates have been postponed. The admission test to various IITs would now be taken on September 27, 2020 instead of the previous proposed date of September 23, 2020. The test would be a computer-based test and would take place in two spaces: morning and afternoon for B Tech and B.Arch courses respectively. The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi will hold the JEE Advanced 2020 this year. Check the revised schedule (as published on jeeadv.ac.in) then.

Candidates may note that the dates have been revised due to the expected delay in the JEE Main 2020 results statement. The new dates for the JEE Main 2020 results are tentatively set for September 11, 2020. See the calendar reviewed for JEE Advanced 2020 below.

Based on the schedule provided, the seating assignment process is likely to be completed by November 9, 2020. This year, due to delays caused by the pandemic and subsequent closures, the IIT admissions process has been delayed . Classes at IIT are expected to begin after the seat assignment process is complete. It is not yet clear whether the classes would be online or offline.

Students who qualify for the JEE Main 2020 exam would be eligible to sit for the IIT JEE entrance exam. This year, due to the cancellation of many board exams, the criteria for minimum grades in Class 12 have been relaxed. Students are only required to score as ‘passing’ on their Class 12 or equivalent exam.
